I found this available online and I honestly think we should ALL have one ready for when our cars are allowed out again so I've put it here for you all to purchase if you're of similar mind. PLEASE though let's not turn the topic into a political discussion on funding the NHS because then I'd have to pull it down. Love to you all, and stay safe X

It would be interesting to know how much is going to Charity, I've seen some that state "100% OF PROFITS FROM EACH SALE WILL BE DONATED TO NHS CHARITIES TOGETHER | COVID-19 APPEAL" and only 1p goes to charity. When they take in to account postage, VAT, and running costs to leave a small profit wouldn't people be better giving money directly to the charity ??

Des911, I think that's a personal choice.
Many of us think it is fun to have such a plaque, and we do need fun just now!
Those who don't want a plaque can give the same amount of money (or more) to a charity of their choice, if they wish.
Non-nhs charities from hospices to animal shelters and everything else are suffering from a lack of donations right now.

It's something I considered before posting it here - there's several 'charity donation' things floating around social media right now that are distinctly dubious and I wouldn't dream of promoting. However Dragonfly are suppliers to the club for years - they make the plaques for Minors On Tour, and I've used them to make plaques for the Nuffield anniversary event and others. I can't remember exactly what I paid per item, and these will be more expensive because they're being posted individually rather than to me in bulk, but I'm more than happy to promote them here as being trustworthy.

If you don't want the physical plaque then you can donate to something like Captain Tom's appeal where a bigger percentage of your donation will make it to the end recipient, although Just Giving do take a bit there too

As someone who is getting rid of clutter, the last thing I want, is more. I’ll go down the direct method of donating.

Just to clarify: Our cars ARE allowed out at the moment, just so long as they are being used for essential travel. As per another discussion, many of us are using the cars as usual for once a week shopping trips and delivering essential supplies to isolated people. So far, I've had the usual "lovely car" comments from a distance, but avoided having close-up conversations.

Whilst I agree that the plaque idea is fun, I do agree with Les.

I suppose the MMOC will have to produce a full metal/enamelled version then!

Thank you. They are all 1950's cars and the K6 Telephone Kiosk, in the background, is from 1954.
The Traveller's original number was 90 BPH (but was sold off in 1985 - well before my ownership).
