The clue is in the instruction to contact by email, not through ebay...

What is the point?
Are they just trawling for valid email addresses?
Has anyone replied and been followed up by more scams?

I just bang a few big bids in ( in the region of £50,000:00 ) and report the listing...

John ;-)

I've just done some image searches on a few of the Classics listed and found the images elsewhere, such as facebook or other sales sites in the past few years.
The Vauxhall Cresta for example :
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-Cre ... SwAQpfhdSX
was for sale on facebook a couple of years ago. The Road Tax has just been renewed this month....
But while there are gullible people out there, there will be others who will prey on them....

I would imagine that if you make contact with them they will ask you to pay a securing deposit to hold the car for you, then disappear with it.

It must be worth the effort of doing all those listings if they can lure a few people in.

As far as I know, ebay doesn’t allow email addresses to be included in a listing ( I think this is correct) in which case it’s clever, (use your own adjective) of the seller to incorporate it in one of the photo windows.

For the same reason if you ever have to e-mail your bank or card details to anyone (to be avoided if possible) then hand write them on a piece of paper, take a photograph of them and e-mail the photo instead, avoiding the use of words like account, bank or card in the text of the e-mail. Much harder for scammers to automatically scan and extract your details.

Correct. To abide by ebay rules, all communication should be via their messaging service.
email and phone number in the images is being a naughty boy (or girl).

Not the only seller listing those vehicles, though the other ones locations are DE UK, not seen a Br UK one like in that screenshot before.

These scumbags have really excelled themselves in stupidity stakes this time!

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MORRIS-MINOR ... SwSpNfoaPU

As much as we all loathe the pond-life* who post these vehicles 'for sale' on eBay, anybody who responds is really asking for all they get, in my opinion.........but someone, somewhere must do, otherwise these listings wouldn't keep appearing every couple of weeks.

*Apologies - that's an insult to pond-life!

Pity you didn't do a screen shot for our amusement, it's already been removed by ebay.
