Rear view mirror

Post by rob needs »

The plastic edging has all gone brittle exposing the glass edges, has anybody covered the edges with any piping or something else.
They're not in stock at the moment and having had my head smash into one years back thought I'd better sort it.

I guess you mean the later one with plastic housing and sucker to the screen. Mine did the same, in fact the whole housing disintegrated. I couldn't find a new one from any supplier (ESM has not had one for as long as I've been looking), so just replaced it with a polished chrome one which might not be original to the year, but looks better.

The same thing happened to my rear view mirror.
Again like you I tried to source a new one with no luck.I bought a chrome one which looks great but when it arrived it had two holes to attach to the car, But only one of them was in the correct place.I had to drill a hole into the frame of the car to get it to fit.
It does however look very smart.
Hope this helps.😁
