How would I go about correcting my speedometer that now only reads 84% as i have an original 803cc engined car with a 4.55 axle from a 948cc engined car?!
Yes i could ignore it as i know what equates to 30 and 40mph butits very bloody annoying.

Hi,
I have used (and will again) JDO Instruments and am happy to recommend them to recalibrate your speedo.

Best wishes,
Mike.
NB: They also repair car time clocks.

If you post the tpi number on your speedo ( small print on the face ) we can work out what you need..

Re: 803 speedometer on 948 diff
It’ll be 1000 tpm in an 803 I think. If it’s an early SII, the only option will to send it for recalibration as already suggested as the only alternative is an MM one which I think is 1600 tpm and will be no good either.
Re: 803 speedometer on 948 diff
I have a ‘54 with a 1098 diff and a motorbike with a speedo in kilometres. The mental arithmetic can get very complicated.

Re: 803 speedometer on 948 diff
Declan Burns (on this site) makes little gearboxes that mount on the back of speedos to make the required correction.
Just another option that I thought you would like to be aware of.
