The steering wheel and horn push were listed with very low starting prices compared to other seller's items listed with "Morris Minor" in the title. My search was just for a banjo steering wheel and came up with this one. I was still prepared to pay a lot more but strangely it seems that I was the only one interested. The horn push was a bonus when I checked the seller's other items and, again, no one seems to have noticed it. One person put in the opening bid and I won it for a pound more!
Like the saying goes, He who dares.....
I agree with you that it's a shame the Wolseley is being broken but I hope all the parts are going to live on in other vehicles.

And you can resell the Wolseley horn push button to recoup some of your expenditure.....

I quite like Wolseley's, I wonder what the 1500 model is like to drive?......

I will have to recoup the price of a new clutch as well by the looks of it so I will definitely be selling the Wolseley horn button along with any other spares I can round up!
The new button arrived today and looks great, £20 seems a bit dear but where else are you going to find one in perfect condition?

So......... When I fit the banjo wheel to the column and the horn push assembly to the wheel the spring loaded contact pin pushes the hat shaped washer and the horn button out of contact with the fixed brass segment ring and once the horn body is secured with the screw to the wheel boss a push on the button earths the contact pin through the wheel and column and the horn sounds???
I'm having a bit of a job getting my head around this!

Reassembled horn push ready to go back when I've repainted the wheel.
Too cold outside at the moment for spraying but hopefully it'll warm up soon.
