How deep are your pockets? :D

I've a couple here but the cost to rebuild one is over a grand plus labour so unless you can find a running/used one you might have trouble.

Hmm, how much would one be to purchase though? a rebuild could be over time and any of the engines are about a grand to rebuild. I could up grade to 948 but was hoping to have it original :-?

I have a bare late 918 block here if you wanted to do a slow rebuild. The harder part would be to find a crank that isn't already ground too far.

Try Brian at The Club. I bought an MM engine from the Club last year and had a choice of 3. Also I was visiting ESM the other day and there was a MM SV engine sitting there and looking complete. I did not chat about condition but it may be worth a phone call? Talk to Steve.
In a total stroke of luck I was put onto a Morris 8 guy who could bench run this engine before it went into the car, and he lives just the other side of Maidstone from me, about 8 miles! So all the tappets etc were tested before putting the engine in.
So, you might find that there is still an MM engine in Derby?
best of luck
Colin
