polarity
The gauge is not polarity sensitive, it works on heat.
I can't see how it could be 'heath robinsonized' but
stranger things have happened. I have posted an
early(948) sender unit to Rob who has the same
problem and he will let me know the result.

Rob has apparently cured his problem of 'gauge reading
backwards' So you need to obtain a similar 'early' type
sender too. So to all of you, If you uprate your car and
in doing so change to a black faced speedo you MUST fit
the late type sender unit too.
