Thermo fan wiring with override

Post by mollythemoggie »

Hi all installing a new thermo fan I have the wiring diagram for installing it to work off a standard temp sensor with relay but I was wondering how would I wire in an override switch so if something stuffed up I could just turn it on?

Cheers

You could do it two ways, either run a switch in parallel with the thermostadt switch to energise the relay (A). Or you could run the switch in parallel with the relay (B). The first way brings less current into the passenger compartment but the second way would work even if the relay failed.[frame]Image[/frame]
