Fuse box

Post by princess090967 »

Dear sir, during restoration my car I put alternator and I have now a wiring without regulator box. Now I made all the linkage in a correct way, the white and norrow wires functions but purples and green wires haven't electricity. So I have the fuse box in which I have only partially electricity. There is someone than can help me.

Thanks, max

When you removed the regulator box - did you join the A and A1 wires together?

I haven't regulator box now and the wiring is new without regulator box and suitable for alternator.

Thanks, Max

And when you do that - you must arrange to join the A and A1 wires together...... It's actually easier to just leave the regulator in place when fitting an alternator.

Some pictures of the wiring as it is now would help us see if it is correct.

If there is no power to the green and purple wires the most likely cause is going to be the fuses, are they in good condition and firmly gripped by the holder?
I had a lot of trouble with a modern replacement fuse box such that I replaced it with a second hand one which works perfectly.

The purple side should be live all the time, the green only when the ignition is on.

Is this a wiring harness designed for an alternator - or are you converting the original wiring harness from dynamo to alternator.
