Re: What is the good ignition coil
Hi Sandun,
Conventional wisdom says many new coils are unreliable and an older coil may be of better quality, if you have/can find one (remember the old adage - "its never the coil!")
I've never had a coil failure in over 35 years of Minoring (almost the only failure I haven't had!) However, someone on here may have experience of a good new coil and can recommend a particular make.

Re: What is the good ignition coil
I would give Martin at Distributor Doctor a call (http://www.distributordoctor.com/). I know there are issues with a lot of the new ignition parts you get these days but feedback suggests that Distributor Doctor sells reliable stuff. I got a Pertronix electronic ignition system from him which I am very pleased with and when it looked like my coil might also be faulty (it wasn't as it turned out) he recommended a Flamethrower coil as a reliable replacement.
