Hello. Every one
I have electronic ignition and a high output coil on my 1098 engine, I am lead to believe that the gap for the plugs should be increased from 25thou but what to ?
This is to increase the power on the engine and also the fuel consumption.

You can set the spark plug gap to 0.030".

I have a Luminition high output coil and have increased the plug gap which gave a noticeable increase in engine response.

Make sure that your distributer cap, plug leads, plug caps and plugs are in good condition otherwise the increase in coil output may cause those items to break down.

I think that you mean 'decrease' the fuel consumption and not 'increase' fuel consumption otherwise it defeats the purpose.

I am just about to by a Pertronix Flamethrower coil and was advised to set the gap to 40 thou.

If you are fitting the Flamethrower 2 or 3 at 45,000 volts output it should cross a 1/2" gap.
