Emptying Master Cylinder
This may just be useful to somebody, I know it has been to me. If you need to empty the master cylinder, get a turkey baster, a large pipette with a squeezy bulb on the top. It makes it a cinch to transfer the fluid into a jar...

So... what is a vegetarian doing with a turkey baster? Just curious!

If you are working on the brakes, you normally get ample opportunity to drain the fluid, without needing to take it out of the reservoir :?
But yes, if you want to drain it like that ,it works well. You can even get a huge pippette thingy especially for this purpose (we have one at work)
