AA Book of the Car 1970 edition

Post by grainger »

i got a copy of the above from the oxfam shop for £2.99 yesterday and i would recommend it to any new moggy owner who doesnt know much about cars. its a big book with silvery circles on the cover and this is the first edition from 1970, i bet theres loads of copies in the charity shops etc because its so totally out of date !! but all the colour photos of stripping down su carbs and setting points, adjusting drum brakes etc are brilliant for us. a lot of the pictures and examples are taken from minors and minis, ive learnt a thing or two already.

cheers

I also have a copy, my brother in law picked it up for 70p at a local fete!

Definately worth a read, lots of general info and also specifics on maintenance and basic modifications.
