Video Optic Inspection Tool

Post by JuNK512G »

Just seen an advert for a handheld video optic inspection tool with 2.5 inch LCD display, 88cm flexible optical tube with LED lighting. Ideal I think for looking inside engines, gearboxes sills & box sections plus many other uses. Certainly would have saved me dropping the sump when I managed to lose a wad of rag through the fuel pump orifice.
Don't wish to breach T&C's, this thing is on offer at £99.99 from a well know high street electronics specialist with the same name as the holiday camp in Hi De Hi or for younger members, PM me for the name.

Cor! You could look in all manner of places! Just think of all those box sections that have never seen the light of day?

I like this line "inspect the insides of your car bonnet"
Some people hate to open the bonnet, maybe looking on TV is less scary?

Nice gadget though, I'm well tempted :D

Well done Matt, here's another, on a popular internet auction site similar to ee bay gum, there are a variety of these gadgets ranging in price from £38.99 up to £705 for an industrial version. Be interesting to hear from someone who knows if they really do work. Other names used to describe them are Seesnake for plumbing & USB endoscope borescope. :o

Charlie - Nothing wrong with recommending an item that may be of interest to members. You'd only be breaching the T&C's if you were a trader or business and were advertising & selling the item yourself, or acting on behalf of a trader or business. Obviously, if you are the managing director of Maplins but are keeping it quiet that's another matter
