Authentic Stickers

Post by 936cbpminor »

I have come across a website that sells authentic labels. A bit of a quirky name of ISAYDINGDONG (www.isaydingdong.co.uk) that do a WIDE range of labels and stickers. Their service is 100% getting my order in about 36 hours! Quality is fantastic. So if you want to add that label to your coil, air filter, SU pump, battery or what ever, check this out. :D :D :D

I have used them recently to. They made me windscreen dealer stickers to the original design. Really was impressed.

Used them to make a batch of souvenir window pennants for the Commer 50th anniversary bash in 2010. The colours are still as bright now as they were four years ago, I'll be ordering another batch next year for the 55th birthday do :D

I've got a few stickers I'm after from them but was wondering how do you go about getting your custom made ones made as I've given up trying to find a certain type I want haha

Good to have a supplier of "Running-In" stickers for those restoring vehicles to "as new" condition.

Anyone have a genuine one which can be copied?
Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!

Their website is a bit ropey though - I don't know whether they're still going.

These were the ones I got from 'I Say Ding-Dong' they where about £1 each for the numbers I got (batch of 25) and the colours haven't faded. I had to supply the artwork in a high resolution format (sorry cant remember the file type) and they were ready in a few days :)

I've just drawn up this one from one I found with a Google search. Can be produced in any size, I'd suggest 25cm ish is probably the sort of size to aim for...

I thought "running-in" labels indicated which gears to use at certain speeds?

Have one SOMEWHERE..much smaller writing on it.

Stuck to the inside n/s top of windscreen...text showing INSIDE, obviously.

Interesting. Do post it up if you manage to find it!

If you go on to Car and classic and go to the Morris page there's a 1955 Sandy beige saloon for sale in Kent. That car still has its "running in" sticker on the near-side quarter light glass. If you then go and view the advert you'll find one of the pictures is of the sticker.

Found the "Sold without Reserve" paper sticker from the PlymRd van....green on white..

As I remember the Running In label was a white paper strip with blue lettering , and with adhesive at each end. Not intended to last very long, and no BMC badges.

Here is a picture of some RAC labels. The running in ones are different colours and the later one is glossy! As Roy says they have lick glue on the ends.[frame]Image[/frame]
The running in booklet gives advice on gear changing and don't over rev etc. :D
