Have been in the garage this morning and cleaned the engine bay. After washing my hands have volunteered to knead the pastry for tomorrows apple pie. Its amazing how clean my fingernails are now.

When my wife asked what the black bits were in the pastry I told her it was bits of clove which you are supposed to have in apple pies.

Lets hope I have better luck with the custard this time as the last time I made it it was very lumpy but I retrieved the situation by straining it through one of my socks a clean one I might add I'm very mindful of hygiene.
