Hi everyone,
I want to get a respray on Mabel, my 1955 split screen series 11. Can anyone recommend a GOOD company or person in the Medway towns area please. I know this is quite costly but I do want a decent job done ..can anyone give me an idea of what price I should expect to pay please. She is a brilliant car driven daily and the garage that does the MOT for me said that she is in such good condition that a respray would be well worth it . Many thanks in anticipation of the usual brilliant , sound advice always received on the message board. Liz

Hi
One note of caution- The paint used in the 50/60`s was a pecular type? (Like chalk when aged).Ask the people in Cowley? Many cars around had to be resprayed because of the over spray that travelled miles!! It is sometimes prudent to seal the old paint. If you are using modern types then they often are not compatable.
In other words try for an experienced sprayer who knows his/her paints.....Ivor

Lo, I believe that West Malling is quite close to you?. Try 'King Street Motors' on
01732 843135 they are Minor specialists
so at least you will get an idea of the cost.
a professional sprayer will probably be able
to match the paint, but in a much more modern
form. The old cellulose is nowhere near as
tough and hard wearing as the modern types.
