I was watching the film version of Bless This House this morning as it has a uniquly painted Morris Convertable. Just for fun I looked up the registrain (1835 MX) but didn't expect to see much as I would have assumed that the car was long gone, but the DVLA site came back with

The vehicle details for 1835 MX are:

Date of Liability 01 04 2011
Date of First Registration 24 09 1957
Year of Manufacture 1957
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1098CC
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type Petrol
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Licence Not Due
Vehicle Colour WHITE

Does this mean that either the car is still around or (more likely) that the registration has been transferred to another Minor ??

Anyone know ??

It is possible that it survived because of it being a convertible. The film was made about 1972? Classic and Thoroughbred Cars mag started in '73 and the MMOC started a couple of years later, so Minors were starting to get
themselves on the radar around then.
That said, all Minors predate that film, so maybe it's not such a surprise after all.
Does anyone know of any other TV/film Minors that survived?

Isnt the convertible out of Lovejoy still around? And what about the saloon from Open all hours?

There was a thread here recently about the Lovejoy minor. Open All hours had at least two different ones driven by nurse Gladys. Anyone here remember Sykes from the early 70's? They had a Minor convertible in that as well.
