Hi all,

The DVLA vehicle enquiry shows that the above car is due for a tax/sorn renewal on the 1st June 2013, meaning that someone has either just retaxed or reapplied for SORN for the vehicle. If anyone knows where this car might be, or if you are or know the current owner I'd love to hear from you. She was bought in the Edinburgh area and sold at Tayside Motor Auctions in around 1990. This was my wife's first car back in 1988 and we had to sell her at auction as our budget had long since run out (!), and had presumed her lost until I found that info.

Many thanks
Clark

Great news ! Thanks for sharing that, and sorry for not re-visiting the board for some time as other cars caught my very flighty attention!

As mentioned in the original posting, this was my wife's first car back in 1988 when she was just 17. She bought it from Scottish Morris Minor Centre over near Prestonpans, so returning to Musselborough brings the car back in a neat circle then. We always got any work done by Chic Doig, who is an MG & Triumph specialist in Cardenden, Fife now but at the time was Kirkcaldy based, where the car lived. Their workmanship is excellent, but they uncovered a fair few bodges in structural areas which ultimately meant our meagre budget ran out quicker than we'd like. The car was an all-weather daily driver, and so something less costly to keep on the road was needed. It's great to hear the car is still going strong, and looking lovely still :D

Enjoy, and keep up posted on her please !

regards
Clark

Hi folks,

Just re-visting the forum as I noticed that the MOT for OSC147G expired in September 2018 and hasn't been renewed. I appreciate that she's exempt from that now in any case. but wondered if the current owner would be reading this forum and might update on how the car is now? Not sure from the previous posts Dave (Orkney) if you meant that you had sold her to someone in East Lothian, or whether that was you (and her) moving down? Any info would be appreciated just as a wee update.

Thanks!
Clark
