Can you help me get any info about this Morris?

Post by Varja »

Good morning, first of all let me thank you for your time. We need some help to identify this car. The story is a friend bought the car thinking it was nice-looking two seater, and now we are searching to identify it.The problem is I think is not an original Morris Minor. The photos:[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

This car is located in spain, and has no papers at all. We wonder too where we can find the chassis number, because is not in the engine cam. Thank you very much for your help.

It looks like a home made special to me..

The dash has a mixture of instruments and the steering wheel looks very modern ( of course all easy to change over )

the main thing however are the doors.. the line down the middle and handles look like very 70/80's to me.

126's & 500s engine's are at the back - front could be a dummy I
suppose(?).
Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!

I'd guess its a minor chassis with modern replica body.

Same as Ford Siva which was using a sit up and beg Ford Popular chassis.

Thank you very much.

I think it's been built on minor chassis. And seeing the chassis size, the tank position...... It might be one of the early ones. Might it be 1931? If this was the case, where i could find the chassis number? Obviusly, after your remarks, it really seems the body is out of place that doesn't match with the chassis age, can't find doors like that........

If it's been built on a pre-war Minor chassis the pre-war Minor network might be able to provide some useful info: http://www.prewarminor.com/

Oh! I thought they carried a spare in the boot. Just in case the head gasket in the door pockets gets damaged by the kids
