Any chance of the body number of your Traveller, first 2 digits will be 22****. Blanking plug between wiper/light switch or nothing at all?
Key number too if at all poss(?)
Thanks again
Hello again - no, not an electric locomotive, I'm an out and out steam man!
Key number is 45312A (a Neiman key). The car has had a reversing light switch fitted between the light and wiper switches so I've never really known if there was a blanking plug or nothing at all. Sometime I'll unscrew the reversing light switch and see how "round" the hole is underneath - we've had the car since 1975 and I've never looked!

correct.
Therefore, anyone owning a 1971 Traveller - vin/body number 1293xxx/219xxx-22xxxx - please get in touch quoting the vehicles' details.
Ta.
Hi - sorry for late post.
Mine is a 1971 Traveller, first registered 23 09 1971. Teal Blue/Limeflower interior. Vin MAWS91294064 Engine 10V189EH7694 Steering lock with blank between switches, Black engine.
Definitely one of the last travellers built. Only 18 from last Minor car chassis number!
Hang on to it, and look after it!
When I was into steam trains, around 1962, 84002 was allocated to 1E shed Bletchley/Leighton Buzzard. Built in Derby.
I came across one recently (sadly rotten as a pear and being used for spares) but the numbers were: MAW5D1290017F Z36054 217443. The car was Teal Blue with Limeflower interior and a normal ignition switch in the centre of the dash. I can't tell you the colour of the engine 'cos it didn't have one It was 1st registered 02/04/1971.

Thanks, all info helps...
Engine would have been green.
Can you nab the body number plate off it please - don't have any 1098cc's(?)
Cheers
Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!
