Incorrect Registration for year
Hello
I am going to buy a 1959 Morris Minor on the 27th September.
It has been in a garage since 1986 and requires a new floor and lots of other things.
The original number was taken off in 1980 and for some reason it has been issued with a B registration.
Has anyone ever had to get the DVLA to change a number for a prefix number succesfully.
If so any ideas on what form I should ask for.
I already have a 54 Morris so looking forward to the newer model..

Re: Incorrect Registration for year
Have you checked the vehicle id DATES to 1959?
Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!
Re: Incorrect Registration for year
I know they used to give 'A' registrations to replace Reg transfers, not sure about 'B'. As Chris suggest - IS the car 1959 ?? Post up body number and chassis number - engine number too would help date it, and a few pictures... Maybe !!! Maybe !!! It's a rare/unusual (and therefore v valuable) 'transition/dual identity' car ???

Tranny's had their own separate body codes, so easy to id.

Yes, they're usually taller, have a deeper exhaust note and have an added

If you own one do people chase you in other minors to find out where you live in order to post pictures of you,the car, your 19 yr old blond wife and where you live on the internet?

Depends whether WE get answers.....irmscher wrote:Chris you are getting mixed up with trannies and 19 year old blondes trannies have an extra bit
YOU and the project car, ME and the transitional Minor's - initial results appear the "phase 1"
conclusion is a myth. Not much information of the "phase 2", so unable to draw results.
Have to get to grips with Adderley Park Traveller's.....there again are people interested in new
information, or perfectly content with the existing guff?
What happened to this B regd 1959 car anyway?!
