Re: Registration NRR 84.
Very helpful, I bought the car in Jersey in Aug'14 imported it back to UK the car was owned for long time by Raymond Newell
National secretary of MMOC, I approached DVLA to try and get Nnr84 back but to no avail instead the gave me another period plate which is Ok but I would love to get nnr84 back as it features in many of Rays books and miss Marple etc.
I have spoken to Ray few times and through e mail and he would be so pleased to see the car in concourse condition as when he sold it. I am doing my best to achieve that . Any advise how to get old plate back would be appreciated if possible.

Assuming you are a club member, try Rob Thomasson - he probably has more experience than most people and with Ray's help should have a chance of getting the number back (as long as it was not sold on before the vehicle was exported). Contact details column 1 page three of Minor Matters.
Good luck!

If the reg number is on a different make of car doesn't the DVLA database display a cannot find message?
DISASTER The website has been changed with no apparent means of finding details of the car, just how to tax it. HELP
