Is it really cherokee red

My 66 traveller sales invoice says Cherokee red but they look more like maroon,claret.

The colour is consistent all over so not faded from 45 years in Portugal.

Any ideas whats going on.

Cherokee Red is the standard interior colour for a Minor of that age. Is that what you're asking?
Without seeing a picture of your car it is impossible to tell what you have now - many cars have been re-trimmed of course.
I have one with that colour original interior and new parts available now are much brighter than the original I must say.
Can you post a picture of your car?
