Perhaps he's visiting Morris69?

Who came up with idea of making bagpipes anyway, what perverse weirdo thought of
blowing into a sheep's bladders - did he/she make a habit of testing such things?

If sheep could talk they'd have some right stories to tell.

Both wrong here.....

Apparently, something brought to this country by the Romans!

:D Just thought I would mention problems with my 1958 Morris 1000.
Kept suddenly cutting out. Purchased new regulator, points, condensor, dist/cap, leads and coil from Bull motif.
Unfortunately, I made the mistake of renewing all of the items at once and it wouldnt start. In fact couldnt get a spark
from the system at all. Had to get a mechanic to help me out and--guess what? IT WAS THE BRAND NEW COIL!.
Original problem was points in electric petrol pump needed cleaning. Replaced old coil and all is now well. Just goes to prove
you cant afford to discount anything (even the coil) Dave & Jacqui

Headlamp Peaks can lead to Coil failure - check the "Trouble Shooter" section of
the Haynes manual! :P

And indeed - it WAS NOT your coil! Why did you doubt it ?? NEW coils are a very different proposition - often poor quality, and often wrongly specified for ballast ignition. Stick to good OLD coils - they go on for ever. And the sad story above highlights the important tip - check if it is a FUEL problem before going anywhere near the Ignition system. Just tip an egg cup of fuel down the carb - if it starts and runs - the problem IS fuel. If not - look for Ignition problems.
