Morris Traveller - covering the rear luggage area.

Post by Bukoba6466 »

At recent shows, I have noticed that some vehicles like mine have a nicely fitted cover (parcel shelf) over the luggage area behind the rear seat. This seems like a good idea and keeps the luggage area private.
Can anyone tell me whether they know of anyone manufacturing these covers as an accessory? If so, can you supply contact details, please?
From what I have found out so far, it looks as if I will need to make my own.

We initially made our own, then had Newtons do a couple to our design to match the seats. I've seen another variation whose owner admitted getting the idea from ours, but put the stretch wire at 90 degrees - works much better. I have also seen folding versions and roller blind versions; but all are home made, no commercial suplier. Perhaps there's a market opening for someone...

I contacted Newton Commercial and was told they do not make a cover for the load area of a Morris Traveller.
