There are several engines without filters, you probably do not notice unless you look for the filter.
Some engines with filters have found their way in to Morris 8s

I have a USHM2 with the casting on the side for the filter but it hasn't been drilled.

Hi Rob,
If you do have a picture and the engine number... would be most interesting. :)
Did they just replace the block with one that had the casting when reconditioned aka BMC goldseal.
I had a look in the MM service parts manual no oil filter optional kit listed, so how did they fit one if no casting on the block?

Same paint as the rest of the bodywork. The body was put on a spit and rolled over in the spray booth.

Looks concourse to me but you should fit a more period battery! Lovely engine bay!
