Rear Springs

I have a 1951 4 door MM and I would like to replace the rear springs. Mine have 7 leaves and the replacment available for the a saloon are all 5.Could you advise me if I should fit the 5 leaf or fit the Traveller 7 leaf.

They are a bit too stiff on 7 leafers unless you carry 4 people all the time. :)

Agreed the new 7 leaf will leave your car sitting very high.

Have you considered having the originals re tempered? So long as they are not too cut by rubbing into this shouldnt be a problem. Ive had a couple of sets done by a local springs works, they just asked me by how much I would like the car raised and set them up. Got them back looking like new. :D
