Hi David,
That engine sounds very willing, I bet you're pleased to have it running again.
Best wishes,
Mike.

Re: New Purchase!!
This weekend should of been the National Rally, I had planned on taking this tourer over. Its almost finished, still some interoir work to complete and sill finishers to fit. Yesterday I got the bumpers back on so it is definitely looking more complete now. Still needs some tuning up as well, but getting there finally!!

Re: New Purchase!!
The car is looking good David. It has come together well and really shows all the work you've put in. Shame we won't see it see this year, but will look forward to seeing it at Kelmarsh in 2021.

Re: New Purchase!!
Hello David,
Progress is VERY slow as I'm finding more problems at every turn. I now have the Fuel Tank sender and fuel gauge working, the instrument cluster is back in the car.
I've fitted the correct clutch and brake pedals, which means I can now fit the 2nd hand gearbox tunnel (the original was messed about with as it was converted from LHD to RHD incorrectly, sometime after March 1960).
I'll be writing up some of the work I have had to do, in the MM Register.
I have managed to get hold of an ex-Aussie front bumper bar with valences and blades. The blades need total re-chroming (£180/blade), so I have managed to get hold of some Sri-Lankan made stainless steel ones, but the fabricator has made the bolt holes too big!
I have driven it on the road (my cul-de-sac) but the original wheel rims need replacing (very rusty) with some spares I bought from a member in Dorset.
My compressor seized up, so I bought a 2nd-hand one that wouldn't recompress until I replaced the control unit, then I ran out of blasting media!
A colleague is going to let me use one of his Sandblasting Cabinets, which is a lot better than the jury-rigged affair that I had set up.
I'll get there eventually.
