Specific problems for our IT provider

Post by LouiseM »

If you are experiencing any technical problems since the upgrade could you please post them in this thread and they will then be forwarded to our IT provider. Please be specific about what the actual problem is.

Thank you.

Hi Louise.

Sorry, may have posted in the wrong thread before. A couple of points:

1) Need to be logged in to see pictures. Whilst this behaviour may be "by design", all comments I've seen about it seem to think it's not good. Surely we want to encourage and be open/friendly to casual users? I can't see any upside to this. It also prevents search engines from cataloging pictures, hence anyone Googling an image won't find us. Also pictures missing from older posts. There was a thread saying individual images could be replaced by request. If this is possible manually, it should be possible for any IT pro to write a script to put them all back automatically.

2) The z-order of some layers is wrong. That is to say, some images that should be on top hide behind others when they overlap. Example below of a banner hiding behind a picture and the home button behind the logo.

Thanks for fixing the picture size issue.

Hi Louise.

Thanks for getting them to sort out the Home link issue.

Just the banner z-order and the pictures issue to do.
