Account removal notice

Just received an email this morning advising my account would be deleted as I had not responded to the activation email. Seems a bit random as I’ve not requested a activation email; anyone else’s had this email notification?

A few years ago I had a 'you need to reactivate your account' e-mail. I followed the link (after checking it was genuine) and didn't have any problems.
