Anyone about tonight?

In view of the current situation with Agatha (aka being a little sod) can I suggest somewhere local to me? (Prince of Wales in Shirrel Heath maybe) car is starting and going (albeit roughly) but will not run on less than half choke. I've had a rough stab at getting the carb set up, but my suspicion is that i've mucked it up.

Anyone who can get the car going well is surely deserving of a pint? :D

Well, Agatha wont be making it.

We've had a further fiddle and shes starting and running well at idle but missing something chronic when under load.

According to my (potentially dodgy) compression tester the cylinders are as follows 75,80,80,40. So somethings seriously amiss. HOPING that doing the tappets might bring some semblance of normalcy back, otherwise its head off and have a looksee.

Good excuse to fit the 295 anyway :roll:

Hi folks

I have been meaning to get alomg to a last Friday session since bumping into Colin at the Dorset MMOC meet back in the summer but I have to drop my elder daughter at a drama session in New Milton for 7 then pick up at 9 so its always cut right across the SADMOG meet.

Anyhow, I thought I'd just say "Hi" and wish you all well for Xmas.

Cheers Mike.

Hi,

Just noticed Jay's request for info on '63 pick up ALA 979A;

Is this motor still extant?

It started out as a GPO Engineers' Utility and its original registration was 440 GPO.
