non morris bodge ideas.

Post by d_harris »

I'm posting this on my phone whilst waiting for a recovery truck

The modern has decided that it ddoesn't much like one of its spark plugs and has spat it out, stripping the thread in the Ali head. To fix it properly would prob be twice what the car is worth and I only need it to last for a few more months.

Any ideas for a bodge that might get me running apart from aralditing the plug in place?

You're right, it is worth more than the car.

the best solution is to araldite it in place, if it comes out again, just glue it back in.

I had this happen on a 924. Ended up using a tap and a helicoil. Cost about a tenner all in.

Now helicoiled and running as well as it did before...

£47.98 for the kit though - because we needed it up and running asap
