just purchased a midget damn good condition! got a ivor searle 1500, reg RKK 180R can anyone tell me anything about it?

Any 1500 Triumph engine is a miserable/weak thing - treat it gently!

The one in my Spitfire has always been a good engine, they don't seem to last as well in the Midgets for some reason.

Midgets attract the go faster brigade, well they did when i was 20 :oops: also the spitty was known as a hairdressers car :(

um... thanks, didnt know it was the enginge out of a triumph ! thanks guys. gear box is a bit iffy though :S

The gearbox is Marina, Spitfire, Dolomite. Some are great but a lot are rough.
