I just found this petition about keeping Formula 1 free to watch - but as it is a Government one I don't think anything gets looked at until they reach 100,000 signatures and it is only at 16,048 at the moment but runs until 4/8/2012.
Here is the main page link
http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/p...esc ... state=open
then go to 'Keep Formula 1 Free To Air in the UK ' and click 'view'
or go driect to the petition at
http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/57
(I found it when looking up the petition about rioters having benefits being taken away if they are convicted.)

Re: Keep Formula 1 'free to air' petition
Hello Plin,
as I do not have Sky, I would love for F1 to be fully covered free to air.
However as the government have no say in this matter I feel the petition is a waste of time.

yep that petition is a total waste of time as the little creep that owns the rights will sell to the highest bidder and damn the fans.
sad but true!
And he did state that he would never sell f1 rights to pay to view!

I have to agree with Alex, given the way our politicians suck up to Murdoch I'm not going to waste the electrons on a petition.
