Today, my Series II Traveller has reached its 59th Birthday
[frame][/frame]
So I've treated it to a day out (to work -OK - and back - I hope)
He has recently had new front tyres - shame that lead balance weights have been phased out as you now get so many more alloy ones, which spoil the look of the wheel (off-side even worse)
Another birthday

Re: Another birthday
Thank you, and we made it back but via alternative route as primary M3 south route was jammed solid (just as well I decided to top up the fuel tank!).dalebrignall wrote:happy birthday and looking good

Two options here
1) paint over the alloy weights
2) whenever you see a breakers yard go in and remove all the old lead weights. Then when you buy a new tyre, have the lead ones fitted. The tyre fitter may well have a box full - ask nicely and it will probably only cost you a donation in the Christmas box!

Re: Another birthday
I just ask them to balance the inside of the wheel only.
Not a problem for the normal Minor speeds.....

Re: Another birthday
You should have asked for them to be balanced from the other side of the wheel, that is what I did.gtt1951 wrote:shame that lead balance weights have been phased out as you now get so many more alloy ones, which spoil the look of the wheel (off-side even worse)
