My first car was a mid 60's mini
I then had in no particular order
1979 mini 1275GT (a should have kept it car)
1980 GTM Coupe
1995 Mini Cooper
1979 Morris Marina
1965 Morris Minor
1973 MG Midget
1970 MG Midget

I've owned four Minors - all had 1098cc engines, apart from my Traveller which I fitted a 1275cc MG Midget mill into (I still have the original 1098cc to maybe go back in one day...), and one had a Fiat twin-cam engine fitted by a previous owner.

Other members of my family have owned numerous A-series engined cars, such as Minis, Metros, Austin 1300, etc., and most as I recall were pretty reliable, it was usually the dreaded rust bug that caused their eventual demise/sale.
