Thinking about selling

Afternoon all

I am thinking about selling my moggie…

Life has changed for me recently and other things (house/wife/business) and to be fair I think its time to move on as I'm nearly 40... Will be sad to see her go....

I would like to get your ideas on her value as I’ve not been keeping up with what happening with the moggie/mod scene??

Details.

3 door black minor 1000 – 1957.
2 litre Fiat twin cam
Guy Croft head – gas flowed and ported
Custom stainless exhaust front to back
Twing 40 Dellorto – recently cleaned and tuned (£800)
Ford Escort axle, QUAIFE diff w anti tramp bars to keep it steady
JLH minor damper conversion front and rear
Disc brakes all round
Fiat Strada Abarth Front seats
Fiat Abarth 5 speed gearbox
Centreline alloys

Car was recently showing 120 BHP on dyno

Exterior is standard apart from wheels

Few small (50p) size rust spots around passenger door, otherwise paint OK

Anything that's needed doing I have done, no expense spared.

Not a show pony, used as my daily car for the last 5 years – except in winter. I work local so only 2000-3000 miles a year.

Probably looking to sell in January

It was a feature in retro cars, which is when the pic was taken, its still looking good now![frame]Image[/frame]

Nice looking motor - can you PM me with an idea on price. I'm looking for a custom Minor and this ticks most of the boxes.

Made me laugh, including one of the reasons for sale as ------ nearly 40. Heaven forbid! :D

I think its me justifying to myself to sell it!

If i'm honest I'd keep her but personal circumstances are changing in the new year

I see it's on Fleabay and bidding is brisk - out my budget already! Wish it had been on here first.

I see this is for sale on fleabay, asking £4800. In my watch list for now. I'd like it a bit cheaper if possible!

I think a lot of modified cars are bought on a whim, and the novelty soon wears off. Mind you this one doesn't look too extreme, so could have more of an appeal.

It would certainly look nice on my drive - if the price is right. £4K not a whim for a Yorkshireman though!

I think a friend of mine may have bought this. He was probably the first guy to fit a Fiat TC in a Minor and co built Astral Traveller. I'll be able to confirm soon.

I was tempted by this one but a quote for the required welding put me off. Very nice looking car, conversion looked very tidy. I can weld but have no garage and a dodgy back!
