The "periscope" is the pipe from the Jotul heater, this one could bring the garage also on 16-18 Celcius in the winter.
At the moment the garage is not dry, all the water is coming out, and runs on every cold metal part.
But my MM has a dry place, in the garage from a neighbour.
This weekend, the Jotul is going back on his place, to make it a little bit dry..

There is 4,5 m3 concrete, with a mixture from 50% water, and 50% chemicals for the floor heater.
So the first weeks, the MM needs a better place as this.

My wife also needs 2 m2 for the washing machine, but the rest is for the car, motorbike, and workbench ;)

The next step, the new floor is hardened, the prius is running with new airbags, so the MM is back on his place.

Now try to make the engine complete and original, I have 3 carburetors, an engine with water pump, and one without..
Also one dynamo, for an engine without a water pump, and somewhere I found an original new smits water pump, for mounting on the V-belt.[frame][/frame][frame][/frame][frame][/frame] I mounted one on the enngine, the most complete one.[frame][/frame] A missing oil dipstick, I have to look for another one. But ther starter looks complete.[frame][/frame] this one has a missing cover, but a dipstick.What type of bolts need to be mounted in the aluminium bracket between the dynamo and the engine?[frame][/frame] The engine with waterpump, without dynamo.[frame][/frame] And the one without pump, and with dynamo. But is this an original for a '51 MM? And what is the function for the both 2 holes left on the dynamo?

today started with removing the pistons, the top was too much damaged to be sure.[frame][/frame]
And when they were removed, I was sure to mount new or other pistons...[frame][/frame]
All the 4 pistons had broken rings, both the front pistons are heavy damaged...
But the cylinders seems to be undamaged.....[frame][/frame]

cleaned both engines, the original one is ready for other pistons and 4 new valves, [frame][/frame]
the other one was a surprise when I opened him.[frame][/frame][frame][/frame][frame][/frame]
The oil pump was died, but I can use a spare one.

The rusty pistons were not only rusty, but also 3 different pistons...
And the spare flywheel is not straight, so I have to change flywheels.

I do not know, it was connected on the crankshaft when I got him...
Maybe they let him fall, or something else.
The other point was that the middle part of the engine was missing.
All the other parts were there, Crankshaft, clutch, camshaft, pistons, carburettor, oil pump, valves, bolts, nuts, and what I forgot ;)

I remove the original flywheel, and look if it will fit.

the engine is in another workshop, to re-bore, and getting over sized pistons and rings.
In this time, my 10 ton hydraulic helper could do his job: the front should be pulled 15 mm to the left..
because the front parts were not straight anymore, I did this in 2 parts.
The only problem is getting original tie-plates.
I asked Fairmile long time ago, but am still waiting on a price and how to pay.
This weekend I got one not original tie-plate, and took this to my company to remake it...[frame][/frame]
The other parts are also damaged.[frame][/frame]
On the rust you can see what the damage was..[frame][/frame]
Maybe not change the panels because of rust, but because of the damage.
It is not easy to get them straight and in the right position.[frame][/frame]

Maybe only change the front part from the Tie-plates?[frame][/frame]

not expected, all the bolts and nuts were easy to remove, just as from a 3 year old car.[frame][/frame][frame][/frame]
Now I have to repair the damaged chassis leg, but not a lot of force was needed to remove the 61 year old bolts...

2 possible options: only replace a part from the Tie plates, so I do not need to close the holes, or replace the Tie plates and close the holes to make it original again.[frame][/frame]

I need only a solution for the holes.....
