cheers guys!!! rear wings and bootlid fitted. The bootlid was very tight at the bottom - that repair panel im sure was not the coreect profile. but it fits nice now. those high arch wings do look.......very high!!! :D[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

By the time there is petrol in the tank, a bumper, tools, spare wheel, breakdown kit, back seat, tartan rug, umbrella, shooting stick, picnic table, chairs and anything else that Ive forgot the springs will be down a bit 8)

Fingers crossed Bruce, if the paperwork is all sorted in time and the last few panels get painted next week Stevey should be motoring in slow motion 803cc style!

The last of the panels arrived tonight and are presently spread around my kitchen.....[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

Hopefully by tomorrow a few more of them should be attached to the car once more 8)

After 2 days at it, the alignment king David got the front end fitting lovely! The Front and rear bumpers also assembled and fitted. Havent bought any overriders yet but its looking well. :D[frame]Image[/frame]

Got the draught excluders on yesterday..nearly melted in the heat - Black car really warm day!!! next job is the lights and that pesky heater which will only work when the wipers are switched on :P

Wouldn't worry to much about the heater, sure it is cold and wet here most days :roll:

wires to the wipers and heater are on the same dash panel switch
i had it so when the wipers were on the heater did not work
so swopped the wires round on the swittch and it all worked

well here we go. For those in the know an earthing fault at the sidelight melted the loom so we didnt make it to national in PZ. Luckily its been repaired so time to rewire it all again![frame]Image[/frame]

Oh dear Steve - have been there, done that and got yards of old undamaged loom to show for my troubles! what was the fault?

Sidelight earthed out and melted the wire right back to the switch

Mmm, mine was related to the o/s/r light unit - probably water in the lamp unit causing the short. To avoid a similar scenario I fitted an in-line fuse - like the later cars had - to stop a repeat of the fault causing so much damage. It was only after a few owners reported this happening that they added the fuse to later cars! Hope to have a good look at the car when I come over for the Regional in August :-)
