Today I started making a repair section for the B puller. First of all I drew templates . 3 pieces. Cut it out of steel then weld together[frame]Image[/frame]

I also removed the cage nuts or plates in the B puller (for the catches) as I snapped the screws in them.[frame]Image[/frame]

Welded up a few splits
[frame]Image[/frame]
Hi,
You are doing a fantastic job on this but 2 doors always seem to split here, it seems to be a weak spot, so you might want to weld in a bit of re-enforcement / strengthening before you get to the painting stage.
I've seen loads split here and I had Abby welded up at this point on both sides (I thought very well) only for it to split again soon after she was painted. :(
Maybe you could open up the pillar from the inside of the car, weld in some extra metal and then close it up again?
It would be a shame for you to do all this, only for it to split there again not long after you finish.
Best wishes,
Mike.

Hi there . Thank you for your guidance. I didn't know this was such a problem . I don't really understand why it splits here !. Il have to have a look at the car this weekend to see what and how I can make it stronger there. As you say the last thing I want is to have to weld it up after it's painted! Thank you[frame]Image[/frame]
