I sanded it down on a DA sander using 80 grit then 240 grit. Then wire wheeled any rust off ,then etch primed ,primed it then used black aerosol on it , hen asked a mate to lacquer it for me. Hope this helps

I found out that just putting 3 steels in to support the body was enough.here you can see them also the rest of the sill panels cut away, I measured the door gap before and after I cut the sill out[frame]

I had to cut away a part of the inner A pillar at the bottom so I had something solid to weld the sill to . I'm slowly getting used to this welder .[frame]

Outer sill fitted and welded in , I used weld through primer between each panel to protect it from rusting[frame]

I trial fitted the floor panel to see how it fits , it didn't fit well at all , the holes for the gearbox cover( in the chassis ) doesn't line up with the floor holes , although they are not that far out .the rear part of the floor was twisted so I had to remove the rear part of the floor up right so it sat better .[frame]

It fits pretty much exactly as you are holding it!

I thought it might be something like that, I have read on here that many people don't fit them , and I'm not sure why,

They can be rust traps and arnt ideal for jacking up on. Iv got new ones but haven't fitted them. Make sure they get a good waxoyling after you've fitted them and don't jack of them. Should be ok then.

Perfectly fine for jacking and of course you can use the original jack! Almost as if they were designed for the job!
