Traveller full restoration. 17 year olds first project
This is about my 1960 (we think) Morris Minor Traveller restoration project, but first I would like to introduce myself. I have grown up around car and have always been fond of the "little cars," the classic mini, mg midgets, triumphs, and all the other ones we have in north america, and I always wanted one. So at the age of 17 I was looking at the classifieds and saw and ad for a Morris Minor Traveller in need of total restoration. I looked them up and was amazed at how cool they are, and how many parts are available for them. So I went and looked at it, and the next week it was home. I started in on it right away, taking it apart and documenting every nut, bolt and nail. I have taken just shy of 150 pictures already, and have one video, which can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-iy72V0p ... ILgMpqcywQ I have uploaded one photo, but more can be seen here: http://razzi.me/albums/22790-morris-min ... on-project I am hoping to have it finished in about a year and for less than $10,000 if I can. I will be doing all the work except paint, and glass, if I can. Please go check out the video and pictures and let me know what you think and if you have any tips, pointers, or advice that would be fantastic.[frame][/frame]

That photo takes me back to 2007 when my Traveller looked like that after we stripped her down to re-wood her. I was really worried that we would never get her back together again - but we did. Good luck with your project.

Hahahaha That made me chuckle!!ignatzcatz wrote:Hey DJ,
Just what the hell do you think you are doing. That pile of sh#t is going to take you years to restore. Christ sake you're 17, you should be out chasing wimin getting drunk and doing stupid stuff like every other teenage dude. Go buy a nice '69 Camaro or something you can cruise and look cool in. If you want something to do in the evenings that is apart from chasing the babes go build a nice '32 roadster or put together a little '23 T anything but that old dog.
God luck and goodbye
Looks A nice project, good luck and welcome to the forum
