New Member First Morris Minor

Post by Broadsword »

Hi Guys
I have a 4 door 1954 split screen Morris minor. I'm looking to start the project soon but because it is my first moggy I will be after some inside knowledge of replacing panels. The last owner of this car started the restoration but sadly is no longer with us. So some things have been removed from the vehicle and will need to be replaced. Any help and advice along the way would be gratefully received[frame]Image[/frame]

Sills on a 54 split screen

Post by Broadsword »

Hi Guys
Does anyone have a diagram of the sills on a 54 split screen 4 door. Or some pictures because the sill were removed by the previous owner. I will need a starting point to replace them.
Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Guys
As promised, a few more pictures of the 54 split screen. Can anyone tell me if by looking at the pictures, this is the original engine for this vehicle? Also can anyone help with the photo of the sill and what is missing? I know there is quite a bit of corrosion but what panel is needed? I think I have a lot of work on my hands. I’m looking forward starting.[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]e
This is definitely a project :o

803cc ohv, so you'd assume so.
Engine tag is below no1 plug, does it match the one quoted on the bulkhead plate?

On the picture it's only the bolt on cill cover that's missing, the main structure is still there.
