You can easily fix it with some JB Weld. As the cover has been blasted and etched you should be able to get perfect adhesion and create a totally invisible, permanent and leak proof repair.

I'll pop to halfords later today , I gave it a quick blast of grey primer when I got it home and also the wheel brace as the bead laster said not to leave it too long unpainted , not ideal weather for spraying so left the items on radiator to warm up and can was left in warm water.

Did the police use standard Morries? Your vehicle would seem to suggest so though you'd imagine that 'high performance' wasn't part of the design brief.

From what I can see on mine it had a bigger alternater which powers the lights and the driver seat was slightly made tuffer, the rocker took me a little while to do but was done a little at a time with no rush but I'm happy how it came out.

Good news my moggy is coming back to me after some welding has been done by my friend, can't wait been sat in his garage for almost a year now

What's the best way to remove these little spots on my wheel so it's smooth now it's been blasted ?

Ideally, it should be etch primed immediately after blasting, like within half an hour, to prevent oxidisation in the pores. If the spots are on the surface (they should have been removed by the blasting process) then they can be sanded off with production paper. 120 grit should be fine, but you have to judge whether you need coarser (not having much effect) or finer (causing too much scratching) grade as you go.

If the spots are small craters (rust pitting) then you will need a filler primer over the etch primer. Then spray a fine mist of colour (e.g. from any black aerosol) and wet sand with 800 wet and dry paper until all the colour coat has gone. if you find you are rubbing through the primer anywhere before the pits have gone the reapply the primer filler and repeat the process. For deeper pits you can apply a stopper (very fine filler).

The better the surface finish you achieve on the primer, the better the gloss finish on the top coat.

Manic Morris my mate did that part but from when I saw he was fitting it from inside then welding it in
