Just fitted a nos rear door handle. I can lock it now and the handles on the right way! Iv now got 3 different keys for it lol. Didn't miss abeat on the tour the other day. Also went to a car meet last night. Done around 250 miles in the last few days. Got a pillow as a sort term fix to the drivers seat back. Used it one last time this morning till then the rain came in.

Driven her 300miles this weekend. Didnt miss a beat. Shame the wipers and washers are rubbish tho! Well there fine till you get cars headlights coming the other way. They were new arms an blades. Still don't use it at night much.

Gonna work out the mpg tomorrow. Was sat a 50-55mph on the A303 and 60mph for 3 junctions on the M3 then coming back following cars at 50mph on the M3 then stayed at 50 all the way back.

I must of done something right with the car as it was perfect. Has only used a drop of oil aswell. I greased it up, checked the head torque and all fluid levels. We also hit 97000!

Picture outside girlfriends grandparents. They had a convertible 1957 one as their first car.
The neighbour there started talking to me about it and parked next to it for a photo. The man in petrol station was also asking questions. On the way up a lorry waved and a Bentley pulled up beside us bibbed his horn and gave us the thumbs up.

Not much of an update. My crohns disease has come back even tho im having regular infusions. I just dont have any energy to do alot. Anyway. Iv treated myself to a bottle of RainX from halfords to help with the windscreen. Dont think much of the anti fog stuff but the outside stuff seems alright. Iv also got the interior light working again. A wire had pulled out from above the glovebox and one in the light itself. Theyre all nice and tight aswell. The passenger switch has also started working. It probably just needed to be used. Just treated it to an led bulb. Got 5 of them on ebay for £1.69. Took afew weeks to arrive. They seem good quality but time will tell. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5X-42mm-8-SM ... 2749.l2649

Done my first tour for the year yesterday. Was a good day apart from the rain. Experienced brake fade for the first time as well going down a really long steep hill. Just about stopped before a junction onto a main road. Also had to explain to the girlfriend what brake fade is as i thought i was gonna crash 😂😂 all good fun tho.

I stripped the washers down today and gave them a good clean out with hot soapy water and compressed air. They work well now. Just need to put the glovesboxes back in tomorrow. Iv booked an mot for it on the 15th of may. Will give it a grease up and adjust the brakes beforehand.

Hi manyminors. The mot isnt till next month. The miles at the last one was 95,842 its on 97,770 at the moment. It probably wont go up too much between now and then. When its rainy and the roads are muddy i don't use it unless i want too or have entered an event.

The only part iv replaced was the exhaust clamp which was changing the pressed steel one for a cast iron one. Only done that last week as it had slight blow.
The steering rack is alittle noisy. Iv got a spare but wont changing it yet as its not that bad and not my daily driver. Its been really reliable tho and i probably over maintain it.

Il keep you updated on the mot.

Cheers Steve
