New Project??? Series 11

Post by DAVIDMCCULLOUGH »

So, I've bought another one.[frame]Image[/frame]

Late series 11, very sound in the right places, Ive certainly fixed much worse ones before
[frame]Image[/frame]

Just one big problem.........[frame]Image[/frame]

Theres a bit missing!!!!

I saw this advertised on gumtree just a few miles away from home, such shame its been cut in 2, the front half was made into a barbeque. This would have been a fairly straight forward resto job probably needing just sill work. I bought it thinking Id just get the back wings and bootlid off, now Im thinking, trailer, garden seat or great big plant pot!! Possibly leaning more to the garden seat idea as I dont think I would use a trailer often enough to justify the space it would take up.

On the plus side it had 2 semaphores still fitted, has 2 really good crossply tyres and the master cylinder looks fairly recent, as do the springs!

Too many Minors so little time.....

Some people just make the case for the return of capital punishment don't they!! :(
You could wait to see if you discover a good-ish front end somewhere, that would be an interesting challenge for you!
Best wishes,
Mike.

Well that's a shame. Atleast you've saved the back tho. I'd like to build a trailer from a car at somepoint.

Are you looking for an addition to your house? Instead of just a garden bench add it to the side of your house as a sitting sun room with the boot as some outdoor storage.

Got to be a garden seat David, and you can store the cushions in the boot.

To be honest I've always wanted a car-barbeque, but if I ever get around to making one I'd make sure to get a crashed or otherwise completely unsaveable car.

...which reminds me I've still got a complete van cab...

Such a shame, I think if you hang a flat screen tv from where the screen used to fit you could sit in the back and watch a film, maybe get the effect your at a drive in movie.
