In your quest to eradicate the interior leaks don't over look the windscreen wiper rubber grommets around the wheel boxes shaft.
A two part set up that perishes over time and then lets in water. If they are looking a bit crusty and perished , don't spoil the new metalwork ( or parcel shelf ) , renew now is my advice.
Really good work and you're cracking on at a great rate of knots , well done.

Noted re: the windscreen wiper grommets and replacements have arrived!

Slow progress over the past few weeks because of poor weather, faulty welding gas bottle and running out of welding wire!

Back on it this weekend.

I'm working on door 3, replacing the quarterlight, and window channels, as well as putting in insulation.
Any tips for putting in the window trims? They're a nightmare on the back doors as the windows don't wind fully down.

The other half is cracking on with replacing steel here and there, the majority of the floor has been done and the cross beam is in.
It's starting to come together nicely!

Any tips for putting in the window trims?

If you're talking about the touch-glass seals , I used long nose fine pliers to hold them in place and a thin spatula to insert them..

Thanks John! Should have the knack by door #4.

Speaking of which, I've a delightful combo of 100% of the screws rusted and stripped, plus 100% of the studs sheared.

Where's that drill....

Wow! It's been a long time since my last update - my phone died and I lost quite a lot of photos :(

There's not been a lot going on over winter - poor light and weather have slowed us down.

All the window seals have now been replaced and the doors all insulated. The other half has found some more rusty bits to replace and has done a smashing job!

Sorry if some of these photos are duplicates but I'm just posting what I think I've taken with my new phone.

It's good to see the piccies and catch up with your progress. You haven't exactly been idly sitting at home "twiddling your thumbs ".

The Xmas /New Year , shorter days , cold weather lull , I reckon is perfectly normally. Lying on your back under the car on a cold Winter's
day is not much fun. Still the days are getting longer now and Spring is on it's way.
Well done , good work. Keep cracking on.

It feels like we’re coming to the end of the destruction phase and Ted is slowly being put back together. My other half has eradicated every piece of metal with even the merest hint of rust, stripped out the engine, cleaned up and sealed all the welds.

where it all went a little pear shaped. Getting the insulation down before @firedrake1942 spots any more dodgy patches!

And to demonstrate that nothing is ever straightforward, I need to bend in all the sills before replacing the door seals as they’ve all bent in and won’t seal otherwise.
