Bit more work this evening. Floor repair to meet up to the new inner arch. It was wafer thin and just blowing holes when attempting to weld in the inner arch. So I've let in a new piece. I will use a flap disc to flush off the welds tomorrow. One picture showing good weld penetration from the other side of the panel.

More pics. The inner arch has been very challenging to get a flush fit without manipulating to keep the panels nice smooth finish. Lots of cutting trimming off and head scratching.

Hi all
You may all be all a little tired of seeing the same corner of the car being repaired, but, the offside inner arch is now completed and in and joined to the inner sill and so is the adjacent floor repair. This happened over the weekend.
Now I begin on the offside inner wing replacement and hinge pillar/ A post replacement.

Photos of the A post and hinge pillar and inner wing before repair. Although I have cut away the majority of the inner wing to reveal the kidney shaped panel behind it. This was stubborn as the kidney shaped panel was spot welded to the inner wing from inside the car.

I've tried to repair this panel after removing the inner wing. After cleaning it up though there were many pin holes that I kept chasing and chasing with the welder. Enough was enough and putting in a new piece was the only answer and actually took less time than messing around trying to plug up holes. So here is yesterday afternoons work. The circles marked on the panel show the pin holes.

Lots of progress over the last several weeks.
I cant weld in the inner front wing till the sill is on as parts of the sill and the floor under sill are welded behind the inner wing. So all these panels have now been ordered and ready here now to be fitted including front and rear quarter floor sections. I have also ordered b post repair and rear arch repair that closes off the rear of the sill.
I've cut out and welded in the sill boxing plate and boxing plate extension. Careful dressing back and cutting was necessary to preserve the cross member and chassis leg.
Some of the new panels are a super fit and others are very poor and lots of time spent making them to fit.
Photos of latest progress. The floors are just trial fit and were trimmed to fit last night.

New sill boxing plate being offered up and clamped into position against the inner sill step. Thankfully this inner sill step seems to be the only solid bit on the car floor wise!

Now we move onto the floors being offered in. These too have to be fitted at the same time if going to do full sill replacement.

Phew, I think that's about everything over the last few weeks. So hopefully this wknd should see the floors final fit and welding in along with the remaining sill sections for the right hand side.
