:D :D :D
I cleaned the cab today, now that the seats etc are in, gave Norman a big scrub up from headlining down to his toes. vacuumed ,dusted, polished, cleaned the windows and now our Norman looks lovely inside the cab, I'm sure I heard whispered in my ear (Thank you,) from a voice in the distant Past, I even replied, Your so welcome Norman, my hubby has done this because you spiritually have pushed him ever onwards.
Yes there have been times so trying, with age against you, that there was thoughts of giving up, but as a good wife encouraging her husband in the wily words of, Only do what you can do, rest today, he has brought Norman nearly back to completion, I shall review all my scripts and chatters to you, as I intend to write this story properly into a book with all Normans history, the trials and tribulations, the ouches and expletives !!!!!! and the Why Doesn't this !!!! fit, nothing fits, this bolt is different to that, but Eric persevered, and that I am in Full Admiration, I myself have been looking for the right outfit to wear once Norman is totally done, I mean "Have to look the part" when we take him down memory lane, even found a receipt stuck right at the back of the cab,
10 Gallons Petrol £12.49 on the 21st January 1980, the same year Norman was Parked up, laid silent 39 years.

I have loved sharing these moments, and I cannot wait to show you him in his Glory, but not yet , still a little way to go.

Got to be David Hockney...he’s not dead yet and has been photographed in a Minor. Not recently though.

I’m reluctant to mention this, as I agree, it’s a lovely colour and finish but I’m left wondering why the painter masked off the fittings rather than removing them to paint underneath.

I was thinking exactly the same thing Les. On my car, most of the rust started off behind light fittings etc where it can't be seen.
I'm surprised that a sprayer would leave so much still fitted.
The pick-up does looks great though :)

Hi folks,
Well we always spoke that we were never ever trying to get Norman in a concourse condition, he a work horse, all the spots you mention had been done, by us, and when a friend offerered to do paint job, we never thought that he would do such a good job.
Now lets see, was it michael angelo, or vincent van.. something haha, so overall we are so pleased, but yes concur had they not been done previously.. Norman was meant ti be just Norman, but he does look a bit good doesn't he?
Thank you for encouragement over the last months, thoroughly enjoyed the mere fact that you all have cheered us on.
Norman will be presented in his glory very soon now...

This is my attempt at needle felting the Morris Minor Van, it's not perfect but had to do something whilst waiting for Norman to be finished haha,
Hope you like it,
